Your early Christmas present

The blog seems to be off to a great start, and I want to thank all of you for passing this on to people who might be interested. I will be posting over the break, and hope you will use a little of your precious free time to enjoy them.

Now for your entertainment, my former students trying to sing Jingle Bells.

About T

I have been working in China for nearly five years now. I have traveled to more than 30 cities and towns, and have lived in 3 provinces. I am interested in issues concerning development in China and the rest of the world. I hope to provide a balanced look at some of the issues facing China as it continues its rise to power.

Jingle bells is hysterical. Not thinking the English students are getting their money’s worth even though the music student seems to be learning well (guitar). But guess what: Mandarin is being taught in both the Indianapolis Public Schools and Washington Township Schools. How great is that?! So what Chinese New Year song should we be practicing?

I promise that just a day before that was filmed, they really could sing Jingle Bells. The boy playing guitar, was also an English student, he calls himself Bob and is every bit as crazy as he seems.
Luckily there is still more than a month until Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) so start practicing
